Living In The Cerebellum
Salome Pouroulis

If you live in New York, or close to the Arc de Triomph in Paris, Ludgate Hill in London or Vilikazi Street in Soweto, South Africa, then you're located within an aspect of the Earth’s cerebellum. You live in a fascinating part of the Earth’s brain! Comprising only ten percent of the total brain’s weight, the cerebellum contains roughly half of the brain’s neurons.

What does it mean to live in the cerebellum? It’s role gives you a clue!

The cerebellum (Latin for little brain) monitors and regulates virtually all body movement. It helps time muscle actions for coordinated and smooth movements, maintain posture and balance, coordinate eye movements and helps with motor skills – how they’re learned, controlled and fine-tuned.

By analogy, this is what living in the cerebellum means for you:

You have to function as if you were a ‘cell’ within this part of the Earth’s anatomy. How you MOVE and maintain BALANCE is what’s important. Whilst balance is essential for all of us no matter where we’re located, living in the cerebellum, magnifies this need. Aspects of your life that are out of balance will be highlighted. If you’re excessive or extreme in your attitude and approach to life, your ability to function effectively and your health and wellbeing will be challenged. You will feel off-kilter and compromised. How do you retrieve your centre and feel whole again? The Healthy Beyond Belief Reading Module offers some valuable insights.

How you coordinate and put things into motion also comes under the spotlight. Do you plan properly or are you doing things in half-measure? Are you thinking clearly or are you rushing into things and leaving out important steps? Are you patient with yourself and willing to put in the effort to practice and hone your skills? The Realising Your Potential Reading Module reminds you of your special gifts and lucky aspects, so that you act with your highest interest at heart and use your skills in the best way possible.
